Spirit of Atlanta Welcomes Justine Spells as New Alumni Engagement Director

Atlanta, GA - Spirit of Atlanta, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering musical excellence and personal growth through the art of marching music performance, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Justine Spells as its new Alumni Engagement Director. In this role, Justine will oversee all alumni engagement functions, nurturing and strengthening the relationship between Spirit of Atlanta and its esteemed alumni network. She will also spearhead outreach initiatives to promote growth and continued involvement within the organization.

Justine brings a wealth of experience and a deep personal connection to Spirit of Atlanta. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, she first joined the organization's color guard in 1999 during her junior and senior years of high school. She relocated to the south to pursue her college education at Jacksonville State University and remained with the organization until 2001 

Currently residing in Tallahassee, Florida, Justine enjoys quality time with her son Carter and their shared passion for travel, embarking on a mission to explore all 50 states together. Her entrepreneurial spirit shines through her ventures, as she has successfully started and co-owned multiple businesses. Justine is the proud owner of That's What She Said Consulting, a boutique marketing firm, and co-owns Spells Wicked Creations with her son. Justine actively serves on the Board of Directors of ACERS, an arts-based nonprofit organization based in Tallahassee.

Expressing her excitement about joining Spirit of Atlanta in her new capacity, Justine stated, "Spirit has always held a near and dear place in my heart for the last 20+ years. I am thrilled and honored to be stepping into this new role with Spirit, working closely with the incredible alumni network, and contributing to the organization's continued success."
