Spirit Week Sets the Stage for 2024: A Weeklong Extravaganza Celebrating the Premiere of Spirit of Atlanta’s 2024 Program Creatures

ATLANTA, GA – Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps proudly announces the kickoff of "Spirit Week," running from June 26th through June 30th, 2024. This exciting series of events will introduce their 2024 production, Creatures, through a variety of engaging and festive activities designed for fans, families, and the broader community.
"Spirit Week" represents a sequence of four dynamic performances across the Atlanta and Jacksonville areas, each crafted to promote the organization and give back to our communities. As we gear up for the 2024 DCI Summer Tour, these events serve not only as a platform to showcase the artistic and musical endeavors of our talented members but also as an opportunity to strengthen the bonds with our supporters and enrich the cultural fabric of our communities.

2024 Forward March at Atlanta Symphony Hall
The festivities begin with the Forward March fundraiser on June 26th, at 5:30 PM at Atlanta Symphony Hall. This prestigious event is a gathering spot for Atlanta’s business and cultural leaders, offering a first glimpse into the innovative 2024 show "Creatures." Attendees can expect an evening filled with networking, art, and inspiration. A donation of $25 is suggested for entry, supporting the continued excellence and creativity of the corps. 2024 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The spirit continues on June 28th with the 2024 Spirit of Atlanta Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, scheduled for 7:00 PM EDT at the Stadium Club at Burgess-Snow Field at Jacksonville State University. This year, seven distinguished alumni will be honored, each having left an indelible mark on the corps' legacy. The ceremony will feature a special performance from the 2024 Spirit of Atlanta, showcasing the skills and dedication of its current members. 2024 Friends and Family Preview Show
On June 29th, the Friends and Family Preview Show will offer an exclusive performance of "Creatures" at 7 PM CDT at Jacksonville State University. This event allows the Spirit of Atlanta family and local community to rally behind the corps before they present their show to a broader audience. The evening will also feature performances by the Spirit of Atlanta Alumni Corps and local food vendors, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees. A $25 suggested donation is requested for tickets, with sales beginning May 15th on the Spirit of Atlanta website.
Parents and Alumni Cookout
The week concludes on June 30th with a cookout for parents and alumni at Jacksonville State University, starting at 1:00 PM CDT. This event is a heartfelt send-off for the corps, providing one last opportunity for families to connect with the members before they embark on a 5-week national tour. The cookout will be followed by a performance, showcasing the hard work and talent of the corps members in an intimate setting.
