Spirit of Atlanta Set to Return as Featured Guest to Freddy and Lynda Martin's Spirit Camp in 2023

ATLANTA, GA - April 26, 2023 - The Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps is thrilled to announce their return as the featured guest and partner for Freddy and Lynda Martin's Spirit Camp, taking place at Jacksonville State University from June 6-10, 2023. This partnership between Spirit of Atlanta and the renowned Spirit Camp reaffirms the commitment of both organizations to provide an outstanding educational experience and inspire the next generation of musicians and performers.

Jason Burns, Executive Director of Spirit of Atlanta, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming partnership: "We are excited to once again work closely with Freddy and Lynda, who have dedicated their lives to music education and the development of young talent. Their Spirit Camp is the perfect platform for us to collaborate, share our passion for the marching arts, and empower students to reach their full potential."

During the five-day camp, Spirit Camp members and staff will work with a team of educators to offer students a comprehensive and immersive experience in the marching arts. The program will include workshops and masterclasses in brass, percussion, color guard, and drum major skills, as well as leadership development, team building, and performance techniques. The camp will culminate in a grand finale showcase featuring the talents of the participants and a performance by Spirit of Atlanta.

Spirit of Atlanta Founder and Director Emeritus Freddy Martin, also the co-founder of Spirit Camp, shared his thoughts on the collaboration: "We couldn't be more delighted to have Spirit of Atlanta return as our featured guest and partner for the camp.
