Spirit of Atlanta premieres 2023 program with community performance on July 1st at Jacksonville State University

Atlanta, GA - June 27, 2023 - Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated 2023 Homecoming Preview Show, taking place on July 2023. This event promises an unforgettable evening filled with exceptional performances, camaraderie, and a shared passion for music and pageantry.

The festivities will commence at 4pm with a special Corps Townhall Meeting, providing an exclusive opportunity for members of the Spirit of Atlanta community to engage with Executive Director, Jason Burns, and Board Chairman, George Dickinson. This town hall meeting aims to foster an open dialogue, discussing the corps' achievements, future plans, and addressing any questions or concerns that the attendees may have. Parents and family are encouraged to attend. The town hall will be held in Mason Hall in the third floor bandroom.

At 5pm, parents and alumni will have the chance to forge lasting connections and enjoy a delightful dinner alongside the current corps members. This special gathering not only fosters a sense of community and support but also provides an opportunity for parents and alumni to witness firsthand the dedication and talent of the talented young individuals who proudly represent Spirit of Atlanta.

The highlight of the evening will commence at 8pm with the Spirit of Atlanta Alumni Corps taking the stage. Their much-anticipated 2023 performance promises to transport the audience through time, rekindling the memories and pride associated with the corps' rich history. The Alumni Corps showcases the everlasting spirit of the organization, embodying the core values and traditions that have made Spirit of Atlanta a revered name in the world of drum and bugle corps.

Following the Alumni Corps, the 2023 Spirit of Atlanta will make their premiere performance of "Up, Down, All Around," a show that encapsulates the incredible range of emotions and experiences one encounters on life's journey. The corps members have dedicated countless hours of practice, striving for excellence in every note played and every step taken. This captivating performance promises to inspire, uplift, and leave the audience in awe.

Following the show, alumni and parents are invited for a post concert gathering across the street from Burgess-Snow field at Struts of Jacksonville (https://strutswings.com/).
