Tips and tricks for navigating Championship Week

Parking near Lucas Oil Stadium is abundant but can be expensive. Expect to pay anywhere from $25-$50 per day.

Arrive early! Last year, due to heightened security protocols, the line to get into Lucas Oil Field for Finals wrapped around the block. Patrons waited nearly 45 minutes to enter the stadium. While we have been assured that won’t happen this season, we recommend arriving at least 60-90 minutes prior to stepping off to ensure plenty of time to visit the midway and get to your seats.

Bring a sweater - Lucas Oil Stadium has a regulated thermostat at a comfortable 72 degrees, which can be somewhat chilly if you’re used to outdoor shows. Temps will also be in the mid to low 60s following each night’s events.

Great food options - Downtown Indy has an abundance of great dining options all within walking distance of the stadium. Everything from fast food to fine dining is within a 5-15 minute walk. If you’re looking for a distinctly Indy dining experience, you can’t go wrong with St. Elmo’s Steakhouse, but be sure to make reservations ahead of time!

Soundsport International Music and Food Festival - located just outside of Lucas Oil Field, the Music and Food Festival is quickly growing into a must-see event prior to the World Championship Finals competition on Saturday. The performances start at noon - arrive early and taste some of Indy’s best food before the show begins! For more info click here!
